On Sunday, the US Department of State ordered the departure of family members and non-emergency US government personnel from Lebanon due to the volatile and unpredictable security situation in the region.
The US Embassy urged American citizens in Lebanon to exercise caution and monitor the news for breaking developments.
While some airlines have recently suspended or cancelled flights, Lebanese airspace and Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport remain open. Commercial transportation options are still available but limited.
US citizens are advised to check for available flights and monitor local news for updates that may affect security conditions in Lebanon.
