Amid a wave of cancellations and delays, Middle East Airlines (MEA) has announced the addition of extra flights to accommodate rising passenger demand. These flights aim to assist travelers affected by recent disruptions and will include routes to Istanbul on June 16 and to Cairo and Milan on June 17.
In an official statement released Monday, the airline emphasized that priority will be given to passengers holding unused tickets from canceled flights. MEA is urging these travelers to secure their bookings as soon as possible.
This move comes as the Lebanese carrier works to address operational challenges caused by regional instability and the temporary closure of certain airspaces.
In parallel, MEA confirmed the cancellation of all flights to Iraq scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, due to the continued closure of Iraqi airspace. Affected destinations include Baghdad, Erbil, and Najaf.
