The Israel army announced a series of targeted airstrikes on critical infrastructure sites in Tehran linked to Iran’s nuclear program. According to the army, these strikes hit the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, and other key facilities believed to be central to Tehran’s nuclear weapons development and the concealment of its nuclear archive.
This Israeli operation came amid a significant missile barrage launched by Iran towards Israel. Air raid sirens blared across Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and surrounding areas.
Approximately 100 ballistic missiles and dozens of Iranian drones were intercepted in two waves toward the north and Tel Aviv.
The Israeli media reported that alongside the Iranian missile salvo, one missile was launched from Yemen.

At least eight people were killed and 245 are reported to be injured in Tel Aviv. 35 are still missing.
Iranian media states that the missiles used in the attacks on Tel Aviv were equipped with high-explosive warheads.
Israeli radio states that the missile launches from Iran and Yemen were coordinated with the arrival of drone swarms over the greater Tel Aviv area.

In addition to the missile attacks, two oil facilities in Iran—located in Shahran and southern Tehran—caught fire following the Israeli airstrikes.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded with a statement warning that their offensive operations “will continue to be more ferocious and widespread if the atrocities and attacks persist,” signaling a possible further intensification of hostilities.
