An Israeli drone targeted the Janaam area in the southern border town of Shebaa on Tuesday, killing a man from the Kanaan family and one of his sons, and injuring another son. The Israeli army later confirmed it had struck what it called two militant operatives, one from Hezbollah and the other from the Lebanese Saraya Organization. According to Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the group acts under Hezbollah’s command.

“The individuals were involved in hostile surveillance and weapons activity near the border,” said Adraee, calling the strike a response to violations of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.

In Beirut, the Lebanese Army carried out an inspection of a building in the Saint Therese area of the southern suburbs. The operation, conducted at the request of the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee, focused on a structure that had been heavily damaged in a previous Israeli airstrike during the war, but revealed nothing suspicious.

The Israeli enemy army, supported by two vehicles and a tracked bulldozer, breached the technical fence and infiltrated Lebanese territory in Kroum al-Mrah area, east of the town of Mays al-Jabal.

Separately, the Lebanese army reopened a road linking the southern towns of Hula and Markaba to Tallet al-Abbad. The road had been closed earlier in the week by Israeli forces.
