The Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee on Monday issued an urgent warning in a post on X, to all individuals present at three seaports controlled by Yemen’s Houthis, urging immediate evacuation due to escalating security threats.

The warning specifically targets Ras Issa, Hodeidah, and As-Salif ports, which are under the control of the Houthi movement. Officials say the militant group is using these facilities to conduct hostile and potentially dangerous activities.

“This is an important and urgent warning,” the statement reads. “Due to the terrorist Houthi regime’s use of these seaports for its hostile activities, we urge everyone currently at these locations to evacuate and stay away immediately for your own safety until further notice.”

Earlier on Sunday, the Houthis had launched a missile at Israel but the projectile exploded before reaching its target.
