As June 2025 begins, Vanessa Paradis makes a striking comeback to the music scene. On Friday, June 6, she released her new single, Bouquet final. This track, an ode to love and breakups, is the first glimpse into her eagerly anticipated upcoming album. A tour is also scheduled to kick off in spring 2026.
Vanessa Paradis dropped Bouquet final this Friday, June 6 — a song co-written by Étienne Daho and featured on a new album rooted in a pop/soul universe, expected this fall. For this project, she collaborated with her two children from her relationship with Johnny Depp: Lily-Rose and Jack Depp.
Bouquet final was composed by Jean-Louis Piérot and Étienne Daho, the same duo behind the last album by Jane Birkin. Paradis had previously worked with Daho in 2023 on the track Tirer la nuit sur les étoiles.
This new single, recorded in Paris with string arrangements laid down at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios, is part of her forthcoming album Le retour des beaux jours, slated for release this fall.
After her breakout success with Joe le taxi at just 14 years old in 1987, Vanessa Paradis went on to deliver a string of hits such as Marilyn & John, Tandem, Be My Baby, Divine idylle and La Seine (a duet with -M-). Her discography includes studio albums like Vanessa Paradis (produced by Lenny Kravitz in 1992), Bliss (2000), Divinidylle (2007), Love Songs (2013) and Les Sources (2018), as well as numerous live albums showcasing the power of her stage presence.
In the spotlight since adolescence thanks to Joe le taxi, Paradis has collaborated with legendary songwriters throughout her career. Serge Gainsbourg wrote her second album Variations sur le même t’aime in 1990, Matthieu Chedid crafted Divine idylle in 2007 and Benjamin Biolay produced Love Songs in 2013.
Vanessa Paradis’ voice remains one of her most defining features — often described as gentle and sensual, intimate and velvety, slightly husky, with a uniquely delicate, almost whispered tone. It’s both youthful and mature, a duality that gives her an aura of mystery and allure. You can’t help but want to hear her breathe life into words and melodies, evoking deep emotion.
Her new album will be followed by a nationwide tour across France beginning in spring 2026.
Paradis’ acting career is just as accomplished, moving fluidly between art-house films and more mainstream productions. In La Fille sur le pont by Patrice Leconte, she earned a nomination for Best Actress at the César Awards. She’s also worked with other acclaimed directors like Jean-Marc Vallée in Café de Flore, and Samuel Benchetrit in Chien and Maman. She brings a rare emotional precision to her roles, transitioning effortlessly from comedy to drama. In 2021, she made her stage debut in Benchetrit’s play Maman, where she delivered a performance of raw authenticity and undeniable presence. On stage, as in life, Vanessa Paradis stays true to herself — her performances are moving, and her artistic integrity over the years is nothing short of remarkable.
Her elegance and attitude have made her a muse for top fashion houses. As a longtime Chanel ambassador, her distinctive silhouette and understated style turned her into a fashion icon. That legacy now continues through her daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, whom Karl Lagerfeld himself praised for her blend of charm and modern It-girl appeal. She officially became a Chanel ambassador in 2015 at just 16, starring in the Pearl eyewear campaign shot by Lagerfeld himself — making her the youngest global face of Chanel at the time.
In interviews, Lily-Rose often expresses how honored she feels to be compared to her mother. She has also made a name for herself as an actress, showcasing her range in both independent films and higher-profile productions, frequently working with renowned directors. Like her mother, she is thoughtful, charismatic, stylish and articulate in television interviews. She clearly inherited her mother’s grace.
