The third day of the Lebanese championship play-offs tightened the gaps at both the top and bottom of the table. The suspense is at its peak as we approach the final stretch.

Play-Offs for the Title: Safa Takes the Lead

The fight for first place has become a duel. Safa seized control of the championship by beating Sagesse (2-1) at Fouad Chehab Stadium. Islam Al-Batran, who scored twice (12’, 47’), was the man of the match. Despite an equalizer from Oluwan Fayé (33’), Safa managed to pull ahead and take sole possession of first place.

Al-Ansar, staying true to its reputation, dominated Nejmeh in a heated derby (1-0), thanks to an early goal from Hicham Khalafallah (3’). With 22 points, the Greens remain level with Safa but trail on goal difference.

Major disappointment for Al-Ahed, who were surprised by Tadamon Tyr (0-1) on a goal by Hassan Bazzi (48’). The former leader stumbled and dropped to third place.
