Two people were killed and three others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a motorcycle in the Yohmor al-Shaqif area of Nabatiyeh, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported on Monday morning.

The Israeli army stated that the strike targeted “two Hezbollah members who were operating and directing terrorist activities” in the region. In a post on X, Israeli army Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee claimed that the targeted persons were reconnaissance agents involved in planning attacks. Neither the Israeli army nor Hezbollah identified the casualties.

Adraee also accused Hezbollah of a “flagrant violation” of the ceasefire agreement and vowed continued operations. “We will continue to attack armed terrorists in southern Lebanon and act to eliminate any threat to Israel,” he said.

On Monday evening, an Israeli bombardment hit the area around the Shqif citadel in the Yohmor al-Shqif sector of Nabatiyeh, which had already been targeted in the morning.  Additionally, an Israeli airstrike struck the Litani River stream in the outskirts of Deir Mimas.

Israeli airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Lebbaya in the Bekaa region. No casualties were reported.

At the same time, Israeli drones and fighter jets continued their low-level flights in the region, accompanied by simulated raids. Other raids also targeted the Zlaya valley and the Jbour hills in the western Bekaa.

Despite a ceasefire in place since November 2024, military tensions remain high. On Sunday evening, an Israeli helicopter launched missiles at the village of Yaroun in Bint Jbeil caza, while flares were fired over Mazraat al-Mjaydiye in Hasbaya.

Shortly after midnight, Israeli soldiers reportedly infiltrated areas near Khallet Warde and Hadab Aïta, close to Aïta al-Shaab.
