At least one person was killed on Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike targeting a car on the Deir Zahrani-Houmine el-Faouqa road in Lebanon’s Nabatiyeh caza.
The identity of the target was revealed on Tuesday evening by the Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, who stated that Hassan Abbas Ezzeddine, head of the air defense system of Hezbollah's Badr unit, was killed.
The attack underscored rising tensions in the area amid ongoing cross-border hostilities.
Just fifteen minutes after the initial strike, two additional Israeli drone attacks hit a van in the Froun-Kfar Sir valley, also in the Nabatiyeh caza. Witnesses described seeing flames engulf the targeted vehicle. According to a preliminary assessment from Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, the second strike claimed the life of one civilian.
