3. Ukrainian Flags Raised Ahead of US-Ukrainian Talks in Jeddah

Ukrainian flags are now flying across the city of Jeddah in anticipation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's arrival in Saudi Arabia. A brief Saudi Foreign Ministry statement said the US-Ukrainian talks would be held in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.

This comes just ahead of crucial talks with US officials aimed at finding a path to end the war with Russia. Jeddah will host high-stakes negotiations to address the three-year-long conflict, marking the first meeting between US and Ukrainian officials since Zelensky's controversial White House visit last month.

On Sunday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio flew to Saudi Arabia to engage in talks with Ukrainian representatives, while President Donald Trump faces a decision on whether to lift the freeze on military and intelligence support. President Zelensky is also expected to visit Riyadh, but he won't be directly participating in the Jeddah discussions.
