Several people were injured on Wednesday morning after an Israeli drone fired a missile and dropped bombs on a van in Ras Naqoura.
The vehicle, belonging to two brothers of the Jouheir family, was targeted as its owners were travelling to the area to inspect land belonging to them. The van's passengers were seriously injured, but survived the attack, before being rescued by the Lebanese army and the Red Cross.
A little later, the Israeli army declared: “We spotted a number of suspects transferring weapons in several vehicles in Naqoura. We then attacked one of the vehicles.”
It also reported that it had carried out a ground “sweep operation” from the al-Assi position towards the Mays al-Jabal perimeter.
In addition, an Israeli drone threw a stun grenade at a citizen on the road leading from Tal al-Nahas to Kfar Kila, while another flew at very low altitude over the plain of Marjayoun, as well as the areas of Qlayaa, Bourj al-Moulouk, Khiam and Naqoura.
This was the second such attack in two consecutive days. On Tuesday, a car was targeted in the district of Tyre, killing a member of Hezbollah's Al-Radwan force.
