A Hamas Official Killed in an Israeli Drone Attack in Saida
An Israeli drone struck a car in Saida on Monday morning.

An Israeli strike on Monday targeted a vehicle in Saida, on the eve of a withdrawal deadline under a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the target was a Palestinian Hamas military commander. According to Al-Hadath media, the individual was Mohammad Shahine, Hamas's military chief in Lebanon—an assertion confirmed by Jamaa Islamiyya, which announced Shahine’s death in an official statement.

"An Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on the seaside highway" in Saida, the official National News Agency said, adding that "information indicated that the driver was still inside".

Rescue teams managed to remove the body from the vehicle while working to extinguish the fire caused by the drone strike.

The strike wounded three other people according to preliminary reports.

According to Al Hadath, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left his trial for 10 minutes to approve the airstrike on Saida.

The Israeli  army arabic speaking spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, later posted on X claming the raid. “In a joint operation by the army and the Shabak, an air force plane raided a short while ago in the Saida area”. According to Adraee, Shahin held the position of Operations Director for Hamas in Lebanon. “Shahin was considered an important and experienced figure in Hamas, involved during the war in carrying out various terrorist attacks, including rocket launches towards the Israeli home front” stated Adraee
