Banque de l’Habitat (BDH) re-elected Antoine Habib as chairman and appointed a new Board of Directors during its ordinary general assembly on Wednesday,
During the meeting, Habib outlined key achievements, including an increase in loan values to support low and middle-income Lebanese citizens. He highlighted a $165 million loan from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, which will be repaid in installments.
Habib announced an official visit to Qatar in February, where he will meet with the Qatari Foreign and Finance Ministers, as well as the Director General of the Qatari Development Fund. The discussions aim to secure soft loans to expand BDH’s role in housing support, assist modest-income families and contribute to Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts.
