After a successful start to the tournament against Syria, Michel Khoury's players won against Palestine. They put in a convincing performance at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi stadium, winning 4-0 to book their place in the semi-finals.

After a convincing opening win over Syria on Sunday, Lebanon's U17 women's team followed up with a resounding 4-0 victory over Palestine on Monday evening. The match, controlled from start to finish, propelled the Lebanese women into the semi-finals of the West Asian Cup.

A Lebanese Triumph, a Suffocated Palestine

Michel Khoury's team took just 17 minutes to open the scoring. Gianna Frangieh opened the scoring with a surgical strike. The score was 1-0 at the break, but Lebanon had not shown everything yet.

After the break, Zahraa Moslemani doubled the lead in the 46th minute, putting an end to any attempt at a Palestinian revolt. Yasmin Habbal (63rd) and Moslemani (81st) completed the job, turning the match into a demonstration.

On the other side of the field, the Lebanese defense was impregnable. Gianna Frangieh and her team-mates kept a tight grip on goal, while Marie-Joe Chebli was imperious on the rare opposing attempts. The result: a second clean sheet and the status of a clear contender.

Final Objective: Who Can Stop Lebanon?

With two wins from two games, six goals scored and none conceded, Lebanon is one of the teams to beat. Their semi-final opponents have been warned: these young Lebanese players have fire in their legs and intend to continue their march towards the title.

Lebanon is on a mission. Next stage: the semi-final on Friday. The goal? The final, nothing else!
