Mohammad Karaki, the Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), requested the transfer of LBP 27 billion to hospitals by the appropriate financial agencies.

These transfers are a part of NSSF’s commitment to pay hospitals on a monthly basis so they can keep up their operations, give insured individuals high-quality care and tend to the sick, particularly during this challenging time for the country.

Additionally, Karaki reiterated his warning to hospitals that do not respect NSSF-approved tariffs. He indicated that he had instructed the hospitals’ medical and administrative monitoring departments to draw up detailed reports to this effect.

In light of these reports, strict measures will be taken against the establishments concerned, including the cessation of financial advances and the termination of their contracts.
