Sagesse SC is on the verge of completing its foreign recruitment with Kenneth Faried, a former NBA player and 2014 FIBA World Champion. His arrival could propel the club toward an ambitious season, both locally and internationally.

Sagesse SC is close to finalizing its roster for the 2024-2025 season with a prestigious signing: Kenneth Faried. This American player, known for his energy and impact on the court, could be the club's final foreign addition after securing Shabazz Muhammad and Zach Lofton.

Faried, 35, nicknamed “The Manimal” for his explosive playing style, stands 2.03 meters tall and weighs 100 kilograms. He made a name for himself in the NBA, notably with the Denver Nuggets, where he excelled at rebounds and provided defensive intensity. His stints with the Brooklyn Nets and the Houston Rockets further showcased his versatility and tenacity. On the international stage, he contributed to the United States' victory in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. More recently, he played in Italy with Reggio Emilia, where he continued to display his commitment on the court.

Renewed Ambition for Sagesse
Sagesse, one of the most iconic basketball clubs in Lebanon and the region, is striving to regain its former glory. With an impressive track record, including multiple national titles and historic dominance on the Arab and Asian stages, the club is undergoing an ambitious rebuilding phase. High-caliber foreign signings like Faried reflect this determination to return to the top.

After confirming the arrivals of Shabazz Muhammad, a former Minnesota Timberwolves player, and Zach Lofton, Sagesse SC is betting on a foreign trio capable of delivering high-level talent and experience. These reinforcements are expected to help the club stand out in local and international competitions, starting with the Dubai International Tournament scheduled in the coming weeks.

With the Lebanese Championship set to begin in early February, Sagesse appears ready to face the challenge. Faried's integration would be a strategic asset, offering the club valuable intensity and experience in its pursuit of success. The question remains whether this renewed team will find the necessary cohesion to compete with the best, and whether Faried and his unmatched energy can make history in Lebanese basketball wearing Beirut's green jersey.
