The second and final round of the 2024 Lebanese Championship for 4x4 vehicles delivered a thrilling show, between high-level performances, an electric atmosphere and exceptional drivers. A look back at a memorable finale that beautifully concludes the motorsports season.

The Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon (ATCL) organized the second and final round of the 2024 Lebanese Championship for four-wheel drive (4x4) speed races. The event, which took place at the Pine Land tourist complex in the Deir al-Harf Valley, marked the official conclusion of the motorsport season for this year. This championship, essential for enthusiasts, attracts the best Lebanese drivers every year and helps popularize motorsports in the country.

High-level performances

On a technical and demanding track, the drivers competed with precision, boldness and speed to offer a thrilling show. Despite the difficulty of the course, some performances stood out for their mastery and consistency.

Category of classic 4x4 vehicles:

  1. Georges Ziadé in a Jeep Cherokee: 7:13.57 minutes – “It was an intense track, but the adrenaline was there,” said the winner.
  2. Rachid Naanaa in a Range Rover: 7:43.55 minutes
  3. Tarek Akouri in a Jeep Cherokee: 8:27.92 minutes

UTV (Turbo) Category:

  1. Pierre Rizk in a Maverick X3 XRS: 6:40.54 minutes – An impressive time that allowed him to largely dominate this category.
  2. Camille Machrouh in a Maverick X3 900: 7:12.34 minutes

UTV (Standard) Category:

  1. Marc Chidiac in a Yamaha YXZ 1000: 6:56.48 minutes

For his part, Sleiman Khattar (Soli) was awarded the veteran drivers’ cup, in recognition of his perseverance and experience on the track. “It’s always a pleasure to participate in this championship, even after all these years,” Khattar said with emotion.

A vibrant atmosphere

The spectators, who came in large numbers and often as families, vibrated to the rhythm of roaring engines throughout the day.

The closing ceremony was marked by the awarding of trophies to the winners, in the presence of Nahida Hicham Ballout and race director Gaby Kreiker. The drivers celebrated their success surrounded by organizers and spectators, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

A successful season and a promising future

This event concluded a season rich in challenges and adrenaline, praised by motorsport enthusiasts for its impeccable organization. Between fierce rivalries and remarkable performances, this edition lived up to all its promises. The drivers and spectators are already looking forward to the next edition, with the promise of an even more spectacular competition.
