The Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), led by Salim al-Zeeni, has launched a new initiative in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to connect the capabilities of Lebanese industrialists with the needs of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working to assist displaced populations. The initiative aims to support the reconstruction process and facilitate the safe return of displaced people to their homes.

According to a press release from ALI, Lebanese industries, which offer a wide range of high-quality products that meet international standards, will play a central role in this project. As part of the initiative, Lebanese businesses will be allowed to participate in tenders for food, consumer goods, clothing, medical supplies, personal hygiene items, children’s health products, detergents, stationery, and even electrical equipment. NGOs will prioritize Lebanese-made goods in their procurement processes.

ALI further emphasized that prioritizing local industries in NGO purchases will help strengthen Lebanon's economy and industrial sector, contributing to national recovery and growth.
