Drone Targets Lebanese Army in Hermel

The Lebanese Army stated on Monday that an Israeli drone targeted a bulldozer while it was carrying out fortification work inside the al-Abara military center in Hosh al-Sayyid Ali - Hermel, which resulted in a soldier being wounded.

The Lebanese Army Command also announced in a statement its plans to detonate unexploded ordnance left from previous Israeli attacks.

The operation is scheduled for Monday in the Arnoun field of Nabatiyeh as well as Taybeh in the Beqaa.

The detonation aims to neutralize potential threats posed by remnants of war, ensuring safety for residents in the area.

Skirmishes in the South

An israeli drone carried out a raid on Monday on a motorcycle near the Marjayoun power plant, killing one person, according to preliminary reports.

Israeli forces also opened fire with machine guns at residences in the village of Naqoura  amidst lingering tensions in southern Lebanon.

Additionnaly, explosions were heard in the eastern and southern outskirts of Khiam, where the sound of machine gun fire was prevalent.

At the same time, a number of Merkava tanks were observed retreating from some neighborhoods of Khiam toward Watta al-Khiam.

More Israeli Warnings

Avichay Adraee, the Israeli Army’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson, issued a stern warning to residents of southern Lebanon, urging them not to return to specific villages near the border due to heightened risks.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Adraee listed

, including Naqoura, Shebaa, Marjayoun, and Bint Jbeil, where movement is strictly prohibited.

“Until further notice, you are prohibited from traveling south to the line of these villages and their surroundings,” he said.

“The Israeli Army does not intend to target you, but moving south of this line puts you at risk.” The Israeli Army emphasized that the warning aims to protect civilians amidst ongoing military operations in the region.
