Men's league: adjustments for a competitive season

The Federation confirmed that the Men’s First Division League will start on February 1, 2025. The competition system has been adjusted to offer more flexibility to clubs:

 – Teams with three or more players from the "List A" will be allowed to field two foreign players on the court and have one additional foreign player on the bench.

- Teams with two or fewer players from the "List A" will be allowed to field three foreign players on the court.

The regular season, spanning four months, will be followed by the playoffs, including a "Final 4" and a final, following a format similar to previous years. The championship will use a home-and-away system, ensuring regular and competitive matches.

Women’s league: a new boost for women’s basketball

The Women’s League will begin on February 8, 2025, with a notable new feature: teams will be allowed to include two foreign players in their rosters. This initiative aims to enhance competitiveness and reignite interest in women’s basketball in Lebanon. These decisions reflect the Federation's commitment to revitalizing the sport in the country and maintaining a high level of performance in local competitions.
