The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday that the Israeli Army had arrested "four members of Hezbollah who infiltrated a restricted area in southern Lebanon." One of the detainees is reportedly a senior figure within the group in the region.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant later confirmed the arrests and instructed the military to prevent displaced Lebanese residents from returning to villages near the southern border.

Additionally, the Israeli Army’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson Avichai Adraee declared on X (formerly Twitter) that circulation in southern Lebanon would be restricted from 5 PM to 7 AM starting Thursday, while residents located south of the Litani River were required to remain in place until 7 AM.

Israeli Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi warned Hezbollah fighters against approaching Israeli forces or villages within the military-designated zone, emphasizing that any such attempts would be met with force.

Meanwhile, Israel's Channel 14 reported that six Lebanese individuals were killed after approaching Israeli military positions. This claim has not been corroborated by Lebanese officials.
