After two months of intense fighting, a ceasefire has been put into effect. As the region begins to recover, our special correspondent Chelsea Al Arif is on the ground, traveling through South Lebanon to report on the first hours and days following this fragile truce.
Her journey started in Tyre, a coastal city that was one of the epicenters of the conflict, before moving on to the neighboring villages that were heavily affected by the bombings. Along the way, Chelsea Al Arif reports on the widespread destruction, the accounts of local residents and the tense atmosphere that continues to haunt this war-torn region.
While the ceasefire is in place, the situation remains volatile. Residents, both relieved and fearful, are struggling to rebuild and uncertain about the stability that will come next.
Follow her reports and discover, through our videos, the first days of the ceasefire.
