Imad Kreidieh, Managing Director of Ogero, a public telephone and Internet operator, declared on Tuesday that “the network of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Ogero continues to operate almost normally in non-bombed areas.”
Kreidieh also assured that if the sea cables were severed, there would be another way for the Lebanese government and its institutions to stay in touch with the outside world.
He emphasized the value of varying communication channels, which he said necessitates resources, political will, and a suitable plan.
On the other hand, he noted that the deployment of Starlink and Space has not yet received formal security services approval.
