Heavy raids hit the southern suburb of Beirut, namely the areas of Roueiss, Ghobeiri, Bir al-Abed and Haret Hreik.

Twelve airstrikes were numbered according to official media reports.

The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichae Adraee, confirmed via the “X” platform that the Israeli army had launched “a series of raids on the southern suburb of Beirut, targeting 12 Hezbollah military headquarters”, in this case the headquarters of Hezbollah's intelligence corps, its naval missile unit and the 4400 unit, responsible for transferring weapons from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The raids caused major destruction in Haret Hreik as several buildings flattened and fires raged in the vicinity of the targeted buildings.

The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman had appealed to civilians in the vicinity of 10 buildings in Beirut's southern suburbs to evacuate immediately, in anticipation of air strikes against Hezbollah installations.

Following these appeals, and in a move that has become customary after every Israeli call to evacuate, heavy gunfire prompted residents of the southern suburbs to leave the buildings threatened by Israeli bombardment.
