Israeli raids on Lebanese territory continued Sunday afternoon.

Beirut’s southern suburbs
The southern suburbs of Beirut witnessed a new wave of Israeli bombardments on Sunday afternoon, following evacuation warnings addressed to Hadath and Borj al-Barajneh. Two violent strikes hit the Kafaat neighborhood in particular, causing massive destruction over a wide area.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee had sent a message to residents of the southern suburbs, urging them to move away from these areas, which he said were "close to installations and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah."

South Lebanon

In southern Lebanon, one Lebanese Army soldier was killed and 18 others were injured on Sunday following an Israeli bombardment targeting the al-Amriyeh military post, located between Tyre and Naqoura.

The Israeli air force also carried out raids on several localities in the afternoon, including Khraib, Kfar Tibnit, Arnoun and Bayyada.

The Beqaa

Israeli aircraft targeted the Zahrouriya region, located between Bodai and al-Alaq, killing several people. Raids also targeted Bednayel and Qsarnaba in the Baalbeck-Hermel region.

Hezbollah’s response

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for several attacks on Israeli positions, including Israeli army gatherings in Metula, the Lebanese village of Khiam, Ma’alot-Tarshiha, Hatzor HaGlilit, Kiryat Shmona and Manara.

Israeli developments

Israeli channel 14 reported that more than 250 rockets had been fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel since midnight on Saturday.

Some of the rockets hit Petah Tikva, Herzliya and Haifa, causing significant material damage and injuring around ten people. The rockets also temporarily suspended departures from Ben Gurion airport.

As a result, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold "limited security consultations" this evening to discuss a possible resolution in Lebanon.

An Israeli media outlet described the day as "difficult in the north of the country, where missiles are flying like birds and alerts are incessant."
