Beirut Chants: Resilience Through Music and Community

Despite the hardships of war, Beirut Chants announces its program of concerts, running from December 4 to 23. Offering a sanctuary of unity and culture, the festival stands as a testament to Lebanon's enduring artistic spirit and hope.

“No sound rises above the sound of music.”

“Beirut Chants has never been a ‘festival’ in the conventional sense. For us and our loyal fans, Beirut Chants has always been a shared space, a reflection of our diverse community's determination, solidarity, and authenticity. It is where all Lebanese come together, no matter how tough the times become.

We persevere through these brutal wars, standing firm as we know best—with culture and music, with prayer and love, and with the soothing voices that, we hope, bring warmth to those gathered in our churches and those who were forced to leave their homes. For this, we turn to a community of Lebanese artists and the festival’s supporters to affirm our right to live and to create a modest space that supports the continuity of Beirut's artistic and cultural scene.

We also hope to welcome renowned international artists in partnership with foreign embassies that continue to support our mission and recognize the value of ongoing efforts.

Today, more than ever, we hold fast to our eternal existence, our freedom, and the hope that endures, defying the echoes of fear that threaten to overtake our city.”
