The coordinator of the Government Emergency Committee, Minister Nasser Yassin, announced on Monday in his 48th report that “300 Israeli airstrikes and shelling were recorded over the past 48 hours, across various regions of Lebanon, mostly in Nabatiyeh (131 airstrikes) and the South (135 airstrikes), bringing the total number of assaults since the beginning of the aggression to 13,522.”
Yassin also stated that “as of today, 1,173 accredited centers have been opened to receive displaced persons.” He also said that the total number of registered displaced individuals has reached 187,992 (44,322 families) in the shelters, with the highest percentage of displaced people recorded in Mount Lebanon and Beirut. However, the actual number of displaced individuals is estimated to be much higher.
In a separate update, the death toll in Lebanon has risen to 3,516, with 14,929 injured, according to the Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center report on the casualties and consequences of the Israeli aggression. The report also mentioned that the Israeli airstrikes on Sunday, November 17, 2024, resulted in 35 killed and 143 wounded.
