An Israeli airstrike targeted Ras al-Nabeh, reportedly hitting the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party's office. Preliminary reports suggest that the attack also targeted Mohammad Afif, Hezbollah's media relations chief. Additionally, Reuters, citing two security sources, reported that the strike killed Afif.
The Ministry of Public Health's current toll indicates that the strike killed one person and injured three others. The search for survivors and debris removal efforts are ongoing.
Several media outlets reported that a warning call had been made to a resident of a neighboring building to evacuate, but the warning was not taken seriously.
For his part, Ba'ath Party leader Ali Hijazi issued an initial statement confirming that the airstrike targeted the party's building in Ras al-Nabeh, although he noted he was not present at the time. "Further details will be shared once the rubble is cleared," he added.
Hijazi called on citizens to evacuate the area, as he had received information that Israel might strike again. His party also urged residents to evacuate, warning of a potential follow-up strike. This caused widespread panic, with gunshots heard in the area as people rushed to leave.
