Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut resumed on Wednesday night, following evacuation warnings issued by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee to residents of Burj al-Barajneh and Haret Hreik.

People hastily drove away from the area following the evacuation call, with residents firing gunshots in the air to warn civilians to flee.

According to Al Markazia, residential buildings in these areas are being targeted.

Throughout the day, Israeli aircraft launched a series of airstrikes after the military had ordered the evacuation of certain buildings. The attacks targeted Haret Hreik, Lailaki and Ghobeiry.

Additionally, an airstrike struck a building near "Broasted Al-Zahra" in the Msharafieh area, marking the first time this region had been targeted since the start of the war.

Another airstrike hit a residential building near the Hadi Nasrallah Highway, after the Msharafieh intersection, heading towards Rawdat al-Shahideen.

Israeli warplanes also broke the sound barrier in two separate waves over some areas.

“The Israeli Defense Forces have completed a new wave of airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. Over the past few hours, weapon storage facilities, terrorist command centers, and a Hezbollah rocket battery in Beirut have been targeted,” Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X.

The official National News Agency (NNA) reported six raids on the southern suburbs during the day.

AFPTV footage showed plumes of black smoke rising over the area following the strikes, about an hour after Israel's army issued evacuation warnings. Black smoke covered the area at night as well.
