The League of Civil Servants announced on Monday its intention to initiate a warning strike in public administrations, with the exception of urgent cases, from Wednesday, November 13 to Friday, November 15. This decision follows the government's dismissal of civil servants' plea to eliminate the requirement for in-person work.

In a press release issued on Monday, the league asserts that job performance is not contingent on physical presence and asserts the right to one day of unexplained absence per month. Additionally, the league argues that the current circumstances, akin to wartime conditions, have diminished the workload in public administrations, justifying the need for remote work. Moreover, the league contends that the employee's basic salary, as stipulated by law, is compensation for their work and productivity, including the right to occasional absence within the existing framework.

Expressing disappointment with the government's indifference towards ethical concerns and its unilateral decision-making, the league plans to stage a two-day warning strike. The league anticipates governmental support for its displaced staff amidst this unrest.
