Lebanon Prepares for Asian Basketball Qualifiers in Dubai

Lebanon's men's national basketball team delegation left Beirut on Friday morning for Dubai (United Arab Emirates) for a training camp in preparation for games against the UAE on November 22 and Syria on November 25, as part of the “second window” of Asian Cup qualifiers, the finals of which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia next year.

List of players:

Ali Mezher, Amir Saoud, Gerard Hadidian, Jean-Luc Makhlouf, Jad Khalil, Karim Zeinoun, Mark Khoury and Sergio Darwiche.

Players Ali Mansour, Hayk Gyoukchian, Wael Arakji, Karim Ezzeddine, Ali Haidar and naturalized Omari Spellman will also join the team in Dubai.

The first training sessions in Dubai will begin on Saturday under the guidance of Perisic and his assistants Akl and Filipovic.

The team's preparations began around two weeks ago at the Antranik club ground (Nahr el-Kalb) with almost daily training sessions.

During their camp in Dubai, the Lebanese team will play friendly matches in preparation for their official matches against the United Arab Emirates and Syria.

It should be noted that Lebanon currently occupies the first place in Asian Group 6 of the Asian Cup qualifiers, with two wins in as many games against Syria and Bahrain (4 points). Group 6 includes, in addition to Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Syria.
