As a result of Israeli bombardment, the total value of used cars damaged in Lebanon has reached $50 million, according to the president of the union of used car importers in Lebanon, Elie Azzi.

Azzi specified that "documents quantifying these losses are being prepared and will be submitted to the Higher Relief Commission." Additionally, more than 30 showrooms were destroyed.

In a statement, he also noted that "losses caused by the sector's paralysis exceed those of the directly damaged vehicles, as the sales rate has now dropped to 0%."

He stressed that "over time, further losses will accumulate, especially as car values decline monthly; not to mention expenses related to showroom rentals and employee salaries."
“Employees are now receiving only half their salaries,” he added.

Azzi predicted that "the losses impacting the sector will further deplete it, leading to the closure of several businesses, institutions and showrooms."
