Israeli Strikes on Baalbeck-Hermel District Kill 63

The Baalbek-Hermel district endured a tragic day on Monday as Israeli airstrikes claimed 63 lives, including women and children, and injured dozens.

Casualties were reported across multiple towns, with attacks on densely populated civilian areas worsening the humanitarian crisis. The attacks included the areas and towns of Shmastar, Halanieh, Brital, Taraya, Budai, Al-Hafir, Al-Alaq, Younine and Al-Ram.

Baalbek itself was hit near the Goro Barracks close to Baalbek Castle, killing six.. Two people also died in Hadath-Baalbek.

Baalbek Governmental and Dar Al-Amal Al-Hamie hospitals reported a high influx of casualties, treating minor injuries and transferring serious cases to operating rooms.

Strikes Near Syria-Lebanon Border

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Israeli airstrikes near Al-Nizariya, killing two and targeting areas used for smuggling between Lebanon and Syria. Israel also struck the Jussiyeh-Qaa crossing in Homs, marking its second attack in three days and causing severe damage.

South Lebanon Struck Overnight

Heavy machine-gun fire targeted forests around Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab, and Jabal al-Labouneh early Tuesday.

At the same time, airstrikes struck Sirira, Qilya, and Al-Rus in Al-Duweir. Khiam endured artillery shelling while flares illuminated border villages, and drones monitored Tyre and Bint Jbeil.

Tyre experienced heavy airstrikes across ten streets, with Civil Defense and Red Cross teams conducting rescues and clearing debris amid power and water cuts.

Israeli forces also targeted Tibnin, Haddatha, Haris, and numerous other towns, killing three Amal Movement members in Burj al-Shamali and three paramedics in Ain Baal.

In Tyre, a drone attack on mourners injured a paramedic, and ambulances and medical centers were attacked repeatedly, with four paramedics reportedly killed in Ramadia.

A dawn raid in Tyre’s Raml neighborhood left seven dead and 17 injured.

Airstrike on Nahariya

Israeli media outlets reported incidents involving drones, including one crashing at a train station in Nahariya in northern Israel after sirens were sounded. Reports indicate an injury following an explosion caused by a drone near Nahariya on a pedestrian bridge over Road No. 4.

Another drone also crashed near a group of Israeli soldiers in the Dan settlement.

The Israeli military reported a drone intrusion over Israeli airspace, crashing in an open area near Ashkelon.

According to the Israeli army, the drone that exploded in Ashkelon originated from Yemen, marking a further escalation in cross-border drone activity in the region.

Hezbollah had launched over 30 strikes against Israeli military and settlements, targeting positions near Al-Manara, Margaliot, Tal Nahas, and the Fatima Gate in the early hours of Monday, with operations extending through the afternoon and night.

In the Khaybar operation, drones struck Yudifat Military Industries, and missiles targeted Stella Maris Naval Base. Evening strikes hit Meron, Rosh Pina, and various settlements.

At the same time, a guided missile reportedly destroyed a Merkava tank at Hamams, with final strikes at Kiryat Shmona and Rosh Pina in response to Israeli actions in Lebanon.

Mass Displacement Amid Escalation

The United Nations reported over 22,000 Lebanese refugees arriving in Iraq since late September, with around 440,000 crossing into Syria for safety.

UNIFIL Continues Operations

UNIFIL stated that supply convoys and unit rotations within Lebanon remain ongoing despite escalating challenges.

Beirut Incident: Red Cross Targeted

The Lebanese Red Cross reported that during a rescue operation in Bayt al-Sayyad, a rocket strike damaged two ambulances but left staff unharmed. The team safely returned to base after coordinating with UNIFIL.
