The Israeli Army is reportedly carrying out extensive mining and demolition operations in the towns of Deir Siryan and Odaisseh. These activities have triggered tremors that residents of nearby towns mistook for an earthquake, according to the state news agency NNA on Saturday.

The operations are seen as part of Israel's broader strategy, aimed at causing significant destruction in the South, making it difficult for residents to return. Despite previous setbacks in ground invasions in southern Lebanon, this move aligns with Israel's longstanding expansion ambitions.

In a continuation of its military operations, Israel has targeted several villages in southern Lebanon. Early Saturday morning, Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on the outskirts of Mayfadoun, the Dabsha mountain road between Kfar Remen and Kfar Tibnit, the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, and Jabal al-Rafi' in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region.

On Friday evening, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle on a road near the town of Beit Yahoun in the Bint Jbeil district with a guided missile, resulting in reported injuries.

Further airstrikes hit the city of Nabatiyeh, where a building near Al-Mustafa Schools was heavily damaged. The Nabatiyeh Vocational School also suffered damage, with reports of minor injuries. Members of the Islamic Scout Association — Civil Defense evacuated a family of eight from the vocational school following the intense bombardment of the city.
