3. Amidst the War, Migrant Domestic Workers Face a New battle

With the current war, migrant domestic workers find themselves in a state of great vulnerability. Abandoned by their employers or residing in bombed areas, many have ended up on the streets, as shelters for displaced people are generally reserved for Lebanese citizens. Several initiatives are attempting to help them, such as this emergency reception center on the outskirts of Beirut, where 150 women from Sierra Leone currently live.
