Due to the ongoing war, the Finance Ministry announced on Thursday a series of “exceptional measures to facilitate the completion of transactions for citizens under the supervision of the Regional Fiscal Authority in Nabatieh and Baalbek Al-Hermel governorates.”
The ministry stated that residents of Nabatieh and Baalbek-Hermel can submit their requests for necessary transactions to the nearest appropriate tax unit based on their place of residence.
“They can also submit their paperwork at the offices set up in the Finance Ministry building, located on Beirut's River Corniche, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays,” the statement continued.
Necessary transactions include:
- Notification of tax number.
- Request for a statement of tax status.
- Request for a replacement of a lost registration certificate.
- Request for copies of permits or registration certificates (duplicates).
- Request for military statements to obtain social service cards.
- Provision of electronic keys for citizens.
- Obtaining an inheritance judgment license.
- Statements required to participate in public procurement in accordance with the Public Procurement Law.
Additionally, a directive from the finance minister allows individuals to petition any competent authority for the issuance of an inheritance ruling for their heirs.
