"The Rayons d’or pour le Liban" (Rays of Gold for Lebanon ) exhibition, organized by Peace and Art, continues online until December 31, 2024. After showcasing at the Mazarine Variations Gallery, this initiative includes a charity sale benefiting ALBA-UOB students.

Actively committed to promoting peace through art, the Peace and Art association is working to support the future of Lebanese artistic creation. Its mission is to foster peace by using art as a tool for action, while giving young Lebanese talents the means to become ambassadors of peace.

The exhibition Rayons d’or pour le Liban brought together 30 international artists who generously donated their works for a charity sale. The proceeds from the event will be directed toward supporting the students of ALBA-UOB (Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts), helping the next generation of Lebanese artists continue their education and play an active role in shaping the world through their art.

The sale continues online until the end of the year, giving the public the chance to acquire original artworks while contributing to this worthy cause. Among the participating artists are Theophile Arcelin, Béatrice Bissara, Cécile Brigand, Stephan Breuer, Eric Busch, Yann Crenn, Xavier Dambrine, Catherine and Thierry Deknuydt, Roz Delacour, Stéphanie Farhat, Hélène Guétary, Amir Habibi, Laurence Horen-Jaubert, Julie Legrand, Alizé le Maoult, Sandra Lorenzi, Alice May, Carole Melmoux, Anne Katherine Meeus, Jean Philippe Pernot, Laurent Poleo-Garnier, Cristina Rubalcava, Soula Saad, Arwa Seifeddine, Kris Seraphin-Lange, Christine Spengler, Thierry Van Biesen, and Philippe Warner.

Mima Salloum, representing Peace and Art, coordinated this initiative, with contributions from the Musée de l’invisible and collaboration from Eliane Georges, who wrote texts highlighting the artists’ work.

As a nonprofit organization, Peace and Art aims to improve access to education for young artists through three main areas. First, the association seeks to establish a fund to offer research and creation grants to artists whose work conveys a message of peace. Next, it proposes a holistic approach to develop young artists' autonomy and inner balance through conferences and workshops. Last but not least, Peace and Art seeks to create international bridges between art students to encourage intercultural dialogue.

The association's initial efforts are focused on ALBA-UOB, an institution renowned for its diverse range of artistic disciplines, from architecture and visual arts to cinema and design.
