Following a tense night, fire exchange continued on Tuesday morning between Israel and Hezbollah amid rising casualties and injuries.
Early Tuesday morning, the city of Baalbeck and the villages of the district were subjected to a series of simultaneous Israeli air raids, the most intense of which was towards the southern entrance of Baalbeck, where a building was destroyed and significant material damage was inflicted on neighboring buildings, shops, and institutions, including the al-Murtada Hospital, which was taken out of service due to the strikes.
The air raids also targeted the towns of Dours and Shaat in the Baalbeck district, with drones also present in the region. The strikes targeted the town of al-Nabi Sheet and the outskirts of Ablah, Rayak, the plain of Forzol, Younine, and the town of Ain.
Furthermore, raids hit the town of Rayak in the Central Beqaa and the town of Karak in the Zahle district.
An Israeli airstrike also hit a house in Jarjoua, Iqlim al-Tuffah.
Southern Lebanon
Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting the area around the Litani River between Blat and Burgas. Israeli aircraft also conducted a strike on the town of Khiam, while artillery shells hit the Marjayoun plain.
Israeli military aircraft intercepted a missile-guided strike targeting the town of Kafr Kerman at ten minutes past eight, coinciding with an airstrike on the town of Brika. Additionally, Israeli aircraft targeted a house in the town of Qusayba with an airstrike, destroying it.
Clashes renewed at dawn between the Israeli Army and Hezbollah in Aita al-Shaab. It was reported that sirens sounded in the settlement of Shetula, opposite Aita al-Shaab.
An air raid took place in the caza of Hasbaya as well.
The Israeli Army also shelled two parts of the town of Majdel Selem and conducted reconnaissance around Hamames, Marjayoun, Taybeh, and Shebaa, alongside a strike on Khirbet Salim and another on Sawaneh. Raids also targeted Khiam, Taybeh, and Qassmiyeh, accompanied by continuous artillery shelling on the towns of Kfar Kila, Odaisseh, Taybeh, Rab al-Thalathine, Khiam, and Marjayoun. Three airstrikes were recorded on Deir Sirian to the south, simultaneous with ongoing Israeli artillery shelling.
In Beirut, Israeli aircraft dropped thermal balloons over the city at night.
Hezbollah
Hezbollah announced in a series of statements that the Islamic resistance fighters targeted with a missile strike the Kiryat Shmona settlement in the morning and a gathering of Israeli Army forces at the Marj site.
Hezbollah announced that its fighters engaged an Israeli infantry force attempting to infiltrate the outskirts of the town of Rab al-Thalathine in the Marjayoun District in southern Lebanon from the eastern side early Tuesday morning.
According to the statement, the fighters confronted the infiltrating force using machine guns and rockets.
Hezbollah also announced that they fired missiles at a gathering of Israeli forces at the Baghdad site, Khallet Warda, and Marj.
Israel
In response, the Israeli Army announced that its forces targeted infrastructure belonging to the pro-iranian group.
In a statement, it added that its forces engaged face to face with dozens of Hezbollah fighters and eliminated them.
Furthermore, the Israeli Army indicated that it had attacked around 230 targets in Gaza and Lebanon during the past day and that it had targeted approximately 200 sites in the depth and south of Lebanon, including locations such as anti-tank positions and ground-to-ground missile launchers.
