At least 12 Palestinians have been killed in the north and centre of the Gaza Strip in Israeli strikes, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported early on Wednesday.

Nine members of the same family were killed in a strike targeting their flat in Chedjaïa, a district of Gaza City, Wafa said, citing Palestinian Red Crescent emergency medical staff.

Three people, including a child, were killed and several others injured in an Israeli attack on the Nouseirat refugee camp in the centre of the Gaza Strip, Wafa added.

Al Jazeera early Wednesday reported numerous casualties on the streets of the Jabalia refugee camp, noting that ongoing bombardment hindered rescue efforts.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) described the evacuation and bombings as having rendered northern Gaza an "uninhabitable wasteland," with no humanitarian aid reaching the region for over a week.

Additionally, according to the Guardian, Israel ordered the evacuation of three major hospitals on Tuesday: the Indonesian, Kamal Adwan, and al-Awda hospitals.
