At the heart of Milan, in the bright Ikonica Art Gallery, an international exhibition brings together artists from Paris, Milan, London, Barcelona, Georgia, Japan, the USA, and the Netherlands. Among them, a Lebanese artist stands out for her talent and resilience: Zeina Nader.

The Ikonica Art Gallery, located in central Milan, is hosting an exceptional collective exhibition, featuring talented artists from across the globe. This international art event gathers creators from France, Italy, England, Spain, Georgia, Japan, the United States, the Netherlands, and Lebanon. Among these artists, Zeina Nader, a Lebanese painter, has captivated both the public and art professionals with her powerful and moving work.

Despite the war ravaging her country, the artist made the journey to Milan to present her work and proudly represent Lebanon. “I came to bring a balm of color and beauty before my flag, which I represent, despite all the darkness,” she said with emotion.

The exhibition’s curator, Floriano Massera, was particularly moved by Zeina Nader’s work. He chose to highlight her paintings by placing them on the main wall at the entrance of the gallery, explaining, “Her art deserves the primary space because these are very powerful works, thanks to the strong colors, textures, and layered painting, the handling of colors, and the contrasts—smooth or heavily textured, monochromatic or rich in color mixtures.” The artist, still emotional from this recognition, deeply appreciated his words. Andrea Colombo, the gallery owner, did a remarkable job of hosting the exhibition under the best conditions.

Floriano Massera did not hold back in his praise for the Lebanese artist’s work, describing her as “the most professional and consistent in her art” among the international artists present. He even awarded her the title of Artist of the Year, acknowledging her talent and determination.

The Milan exhibition is only the beginning of a promising journey for Zeina Nader. The curator is planning a tour for her in Italy, with exhibitions scheduled in prestigious galleries in Florence in November and in Rome in February. A solo exhibition is also in the works for the painter.

The artist’s success goes beyond the recognition of art professionals. During the exhibition, her work attracted considerable interest from many Milanese visitors, and sales are already being negotiated. This international reach is a testament to the evocative power of her art.

Despite offers and invitations to remain abroad, Zeina Nader remains deeply attached to her homeland. “I always go back home,” she asserts with conviction. A courageous decision that highlights her commitment to Lebanon and her determination to continue creating, against all odds.

The story of this artist is one of a woman who, despite the difficulties and the torment of war, manages to make her art and her country shine on the international stage. A beacon of hope and beauty in a dark context, carried by the talent and determination of an accomplished artist.
