Israeli military operations in Lebanon have continued, with airstrikes and drone attacks targeting multiple regions.
For the first time since the escalation, Israeli drones struck Tripoli, targeting an apartment in the Beddawi camp, a residential area in the north. The strike killed Hamas leader Said al-Ali, along with his wife and two children. The attack triggered widespread panic in the camp, prompting security forces to fire warning shots into the air to disperse onlookers and prevent further casualties.
Strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs
In the southern suburbs of Beirut, Israeli airstrikes hit areas once again following warnings for civilians to evacuate certain buildings in the Shweifat al-Omara district, believed to house Hezbollah facilities. The strikes also targeted locations near al-Qaim Mosque, as well as Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, Rweiss, al-Ajniha al-Khamsa and Mrayjeh. Significant damage was reported, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.
Raids across the Beqaa Valley
Israeli fighter jets conducted multiple air raids in the Beqaa Valley. A strike on a building in al-Jamaliya, west of Baalbek, and another between Anssar and Doueir were reported. Additionally, an airstrike targeted al-Hafir, west of Baalbek.
In central Beqaa, the village of Saadnayel experienced a deadly strike that claimed the life of one civilian. Another airstrike in al-Ain killed a young woman. Ali al-Hajj, director of the Al-Abrar Educational Center, was also killed in an attack on his home in Rafid, Rachaya.
Ongoing bombardment in South Lebanon
Southern Lebanon remains under intense bombardment, with towns such as Qana, Tayr Debba, Khiyam, Kfar Kila and Odaisseh hit by airstrikes and artillery. In particular, Khiyam and Kfar Kila were subjected to artillery fire, while a drone strike on the Marj Zebdine-Nabatiyeh road at midnight killed two people. A second strike on a civilian car between Nabatiyeh and Zebdine reportedly caused several injuries.
Hezbollah's response
Hezbollah claimed it inflicted casualties on Israeli troops during an attempted advance near Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun in southern Lebanon. According to the group's statement, more than 20 Israeli soldiers were killed or injured in an ambush involving explosives and close-quarters combat. Hezbollah also reported attacks on Israeli military positions in Kfar Yuval, Kfar Giladi and Khallat Abir, allegedly resulting in further Israeli casualties.
Israeli announcements
The Israeli military confirmed that rockets were launched from southern Lebanon toward northern Israel, targeting areas such as Nazareth, northern Golan, Wadi Ara, Megiddo and Afula. Israeli air defense systems also allegedly intercepted several rockets, while others landed in open areas. In response, Israeli forces announced plans to intensify airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs.
