Unrelenting Israeli Strikes Shake Lebanon
Lebanon’s southern regions have been rocked by relentless Israeli airstrikes, with reconnaissance and unmanned aircraft maintaining a constant presence over villages in the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts. The skies over Baalbeck and surrounding areas have also witnessed intense military activity.

The Israeli Army announced that yesterday's raids in the southern suburbs targeted Hezbollah intelligence headquarters.

Southern Lebanon

In a series of targeted attacks, the Israeli Army struck various locations in southern Lebanon and the western Baalbeck region, the town of Aitit, and the outskirts of al-Majdal in the Tyre district.

The strikes have impacted multiple areas, such as the heights of Jenta, Tura, Bint Jbeil, al-Tiri, Wadi al-Slouqi, Baraashit, and Blida, among others, leading to material damage and casualties.

The Israeli Army struck several regions in southern Lebanon. It targeted the western Baalbeck region at dawn, between the towns of Bouday and Shmistar, passing through the town of Tariya. Israeli strikes have also attacked the town of Aitit on Friday morning and the outskirts of al-Majdal in the Tyre district, the heights of Jenta, Tura, Bint Jbeil, al-Tiri, Wadi al-Slouqi, Baraachit, Blida, Aitaroun, Yaroun, the outskirts of Mhaibib, Hadatha, Kounine, Ainata, Shaqra, and Saf al-Hawa near the town of al-Tiri.

Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted the al-Bayader area in Ali al-Nahri, hitting a truck, but the damage was limited to material losses.

Moreover, at dawn, the Israeli Army opened fire with heavy machine guns toward the hills of Labbouneh and al-Alam in the western sector, also targeting the vicinity of Tayr Harfa and Aita al-Shaab. Israeli aerial operations have intensified, with warplanes targeting border villages.

Two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike at dawn on a house in the town of Khirbet Selm. A house was also targeted for the first time in the border town of Rmeish.

Displacement continues from the villages south of the Litani River. Refugees told the National News Agency (NNA) about the hardships of their journey and the high costs of provisions and apartment rentals, especially for those who could not find shelter in state-designated centers.

At around 9 AM, the Arabic-speaking Israeli spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued another warning for 20 regions in the south. He asked southerners to evacuate immediately.

Following the Israeli Army’s warning, the priest of Mar George Parish in Qlaiaa, Father Pierre al-Rai, urged the residents not to leave the town despite the threats. He said that there were no military activities or installations in the area.

On the Israeli Side

Israeli police reported fires in various locations across the Galilee following rocket launches from Lebanon. According to Israeli Army Radio, approximately 60 rockets have been fired toward Israel since the morning. Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed that a building in Kiryat Shmona was directly hit by one of these rockets.

Sirens have been sounding in Dovev, northern Israel, warning of more incoming rockets. Israeli Army Radio stated that 60 shells had been detected as launched from Lebanon, with 20 of them being part of the most recent barrage aimed at the Lower Galilee.

Israeli police further noted that rocket strikes caused significant property damage in several areas, including Kiryat Shmona and the Lower Galilee, and fires erupted in multiple locations across the Galilee.

Masnaa

In addition, an Israeli strike hit the Masnaa border post with Syria on Friday morning, cutting off a road used by hundreds of thousands of people fleeing Israeli bombardments in recent days, Caretaker Transport Minister Ali Hamiyeh told Reuters.

Hamiyeh said the strike took place just beyond the border crossing inside Lebanese territory, creating a 4-meter-wide crater.

On Thursday, Israel had accused Hezbollah of smuggling weapons from Syria through the Masnaa border crossing. Ali Hamiyeh had asserted that all border crossings were under government surveillance.

Overnight

Israeli attacks continued throughout the night and into the morning, hitting towns and villages. Before midnight, Israeli warplanes struck the northern Burj area near the Islah station, causing severe damage to nearby homes.

Airstrikes also targeted the town of al-Bayyada near an army center, resulting in injuries, with the wounded being transported to hospitals in Tyre. The strikes also targeted the Popular Housing District, al-Maashouq, Shaqra, and Majdal Zoun. Israeli warplanes also struck the towns of al-Dhahyra and al-Bustan.

During the night, the Israelis launched flares over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.

On the other hand, Hezbollah claimed an attack on Kiryat, north of Haifa, with rocket salvos.

Beirut’s Southern Suburbs

In the early hours after midnight, Israeli warplanes launched violent airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, using a large number of thermobaric and bunker-busting bombs. Journalists reporting on the scene on Friday morning were injured when an Israeli strike targeted Dahyeh on Friday morning, according to al-Jazeera.
