Education Minister Extends School Closure Across Lebanon
Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi announced on Tuesday afternoon an extension of the closure and suspension of classes until the end of this week.

This follows an Israeli air raid in Ghobeiry, in the southern suburb of Beirut, that killed six people and left fifteen injured, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

This extension applies to public and private schools, high schools, institutes and vocational schools across various regions.

The closure will continue in the governorates of South Lebanon, Nabatiyeh, Bekaa, Baalbeck-Hermel and the southern suburbs.

In addition, classes will remain suspended in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon and Akkar.

The Lebanese University and private higher education institutions will also be affected, with all institutions across Lebanon remaining closed until the end of the week due to ongoing circumstances in the country.
