Tennis-Lebanon: Maria Hachache, a Rising Star in Full Bloom
The path to glory seems paved for the promising 12-year-old tennis player Maria Hachache, who consistently catches attention in every tournament she enters.

Hachache made her mark in 2024 by winning numerous local titles, including the Lebanese Championship in the under-12 category, which took place on the courts of the La Collina Club last July, and the title of the Electricity Club tournament, held on the courts of the Holiday Beach Club.

Maria Hachache continued to shine by winning the title in her category at the Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon (ATCL) tournament, dominating her age group.

Recently, Hachache participated in the Arab Championship held in Tunisia with the Lebanese team and won the bronze medal with her partner Nour Khater. Previously, she had won a silver team medal at the West Asia Championship in Jordan with her partners Noah Bachour and Nour Khater. The Lebanese team has qualified for the Asian Championship, which will take place next September in Kazakhstan, with hopes of achieving a good result and once again climbing the podium.

Maria Hachache continues her studies at Notre Dame de Jamhour School and trains intensively at the Holiday Beach Club (in summer) and Mont La Salle (in winter). She has been undergoing intensive professional training for two years, supported by her parents and under the supervision of the Georgian professional coach Giorgi Kherkheladze, who sees in her the traits of a future tennis star, both locally and internationally.

Her physical trainer, Marc Hajj, also trains her to reach a high level of technical readiness.

Maria Hachache dreams of representing Lebanon in international competitions in the future, following in the footsteps of her idol, Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka.
