Export and import procedures will be handled online starting Wednesday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Economy announced that starting Wednesday, importers and exporters will no longer be required to go to the port or the Ministry’s headquarters to complete import and export procedures. These procedures, which include managing the customs manifest, inspecting containers and sending samples for analysis, will now be carried out online.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Economy's plan to digitize all of its services to simplify and speed up commercial transactions, reduce associated costs and combat corruption, according to the statement.
