Three Hezbollah Fighters Killed in Raid on Yaroun
Exchanges of fire have resumed on the southern border between Hezbollah and the Israeli army after the end of an undeclared truce during Eid al-Adha.

On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army raided the town of Yaroun, killing three people. The Israeli army announced that the three victims were “Hezbollah agents.”

An Israeli drone targeted a car in the village of Wazzani. The driver narrowly escaped death by jumping out of the vehicle in time.

The towns of Khiam, Hora, Marjayoun and Deir Mimas were also bombed on Wednesday morning. Khiam was subjected to a series of destructive raids during the day. The Israeli strikes also reached Houla, while Hezbollah bombed the northern Galilee. However, several rockets fired from Lebanon were intercepted by Israeli air defenses and exploded over Lebanese border villages.

Earlier, Hezbollah announced that it had attacked “the Israeli settlement of Metula with a fleet of drones, resulting in several casualties.” This attack was in response to the Israeli army’s three consecutive strikes on the town of Borgholieh on Tuesday evening.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that “cars were damaged when a drone launched from Lebanon targeted Metula.”

Shortly before midnight, Israeli aircraft raided Baraachit and broke the sound barrier several times in the southern sky.

Haifa Overflown by Hezbollah Spy Drone

On Tuesday evening, Hezbollah broadcast a 9-minute video via its “war media,” showing footage taken from an aircraft of a drone it called “Houd Houd” (Arabic for the hoopoe bird). According to Hezbollah, the drone flew over several “sensitive” areas in Israeli territory and reached Haifa.

Hezbollah had announced less than an hour earlier that it planned to broadcast “crucial scenes,” urging people to “watch and analyze.” The party added via its usual media channels that the video “coincides with the visit of US envoy Amos Hochstein to Lebanon and Israeli war threats against Lebanon.”
