Five Artists, Five Universes to Discover at Galerie Jacques Ouaiss
As part of the “collective exhibitions” presented by Lorraine Ouaiss, Galerie Jacques Ouaiss is hosting five talented artists on a creative journey through painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics from June 13 to June 29, 2024.

From June 13 to June 29, 2024, Galerie Jacques Ouaiss, under the direction of Lorraine Ouaiss, will host a collective exhibition. This event brings together five artists and creators: Corine Gholam Fawaz, Diana Mehrez, Georges Sakr, Roula Arif, and Ghislaine Chalhoub. Each artist brings their unique touch, offering visitors a rich and varied artistic experience.

Ghislaine Chalhoub, born in Beirut in 1964 and a graduate in interior architecture from ALBA, began her training as a ceramist in 2019 at Nathalie Khayat’s studio. She uses the hand-building technique to convey her unique artistic strength in each work, combining delicacy and character.

Corine Gholam Fawaz, a Lebanese artist, explores abstract art through her series “Quantum Thinking.” By layering thick concentric layers of acrylic paint, she creates a fascinating three-dimensional effect. Her work reflects her artistic journey and invites the viewer to embrace new ideas.

Roula Arif, a Lebanese ceramist, creates unique pieces designed to bring character and originality to any space. Trained at Nathalie Khayat’s ceramic studio, she draws inspiration from nature to infuse each creation with a touch of personality, blending seamlessly into everyday life.

Georges Sakr, a passionate sculptor, turned to metal sculpture in retirement. Inspired by nature, his design is elegant and refined, with fine lines and organic shapes giving an impression of lightness. He also incorporates a decorative aspect to create a unique ambiance.

Diana Mehrez, a self-taught photographer, captures the essence of architectural structures and spaces in captivating visual narratives. Her journey at the crossroads of architecture and art shapes her photographic identity. She highlights the beauty of everyday architecture, inviting us to rediscover the built world around us.

The opening reception will take place on June 13, 2024, from 5 PM at Galerie Jacques Ouaiss, 250 Rue Sélim Bustros. The exhibition will be open until June 29, every day from 10 AM to 6 PM, with parking available.

This collective exhibition offers an immersive artistic experience, where painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics coexist harmoniously. It’s an opportunity to discover or rediscover the work of these five talented artists.
