Following a day of heavy fire exchanges across the border between Hezbollah and Israel, including drone attacks that hit targets deep into Lebanon, in the region of Baalbeck, unrelenting violence continued on Sunday.

The Tallet al-Sanawbar between Hamamas and Khiam was shelled in the early morning hours, causing it to catch fire. Several artillery shells also targeted al-Awaida hill, Naqoura, Dhayra, and Yarin. Interceptor missiles exploded over Mays al-Jabal, Houla, and Odaisseh.

Two civilians were reportedly killed when Israeli warplanes targeted the town of Houla.

On their part, Hezbollah claimed an attack on the Yarden barracks in the Golan Heights, and the Al-Marj site.

The pro-Iranian party said it had carried out 10 offensive operations against Israeli forces on Saturday, mainly targeting the headquarters of the “769th Brigade” in the Kiryat Shmona barracks, “inflicting injuries.” It also claimed shooting down a “Hermes 900” drone.

Meanwhile, Israeli media said Sunday that more than 15 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee.

Additionally, at around 2:30 AM, the Israeli army targeted a house and a shop in Nabiya Square in the Bint Jbeil Souk, injuring one person and causing significant material damage.

Shortly before midnight, airstrikes were conducted on the outskirts of the towns of Hanawiyah, Ramya, and Braashit, causing significant damage to property, infrastructure, and uninhabited houses. Additionally, an Israeli drone also targeted a car in the town of Harouf, but the occupants managed to escape.

Yesterday evening, the Israeli army targeted Hezbollah centers located in Beit Meshik in Baalbek district. The Israeli Army Radio said that the Air Force bombed a target in Baalbek, 80 kilometers from the border, in response to the shooting down of the drone.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai indicated that “warplanes attacked terrorist targets during the night hours in response to the firing of rockets towards the north of the country.”

“In response to the shooting down of a Defense Forces drone that acted in Lebanese airspace by a surface-to-air missile belonging to Hezbollah, Air Force warplanes attacked a military compound used by Hezbollah in the Bekaa region,” he added.
