Southern Lebanon: Israel Has Still Not Responded to the French Roadmap, According to the Quai d'Orsay
Israel has still not replied to the roadmap submitted by Paris to restore calm on the southern border, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokesman, Christophe Lemoine, said in a press briefing on Thursday.

“We've had a relatively positive response from the Lebanese part, but I don't think we've had any feedback from Israel at this stage,” he added.

During a visit to Beirut and Tel Aviv last April, French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné presented both parties with a revised settlement proposal, which included a withdrawal of Hezbollah fighters within 10 km of the southern border, in return for a halt to Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

During his visit to Beirut, Séjourné indicated that Lebanon's observations on the roadmap proposed by Paris last February to achieve full implementation of Resolution 1701 by all parties “had been fully taken into account.”
