An Iranian General Staff statement on Thursday presented the initial findings of the investigation into the crash of President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter on Sunday.
No suspicious elements were detected in the exchanges between the helicopter's crew and the control tower, the statement issued by the Iranian General Staff's public relations center said.
According to the statement, the helicopter belonging to Raissi, who was killed in the crash along with his foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and seven other people, continued on its planned trajectory and did not deviate from it.
No bullet marks were found on the helicopter's hull either, the statement added.
The last communication between the presidential helicopter and the two other aircraft escorting it took place a minute and a half before the accident, according to the report.
The Iranian authorities have announced that they are continuing to collect a large number of documents and traces linked to the helicopter crash. "We need more time," the statement said.
